Our Certificate and Diploma courses are unique in Sydney, as all students are taught by practicing Japanese Therapy Yoga & Zen Shiatsu Therapists and Teachers, under the guidance of our Sensei Lisa Masters. The Yoga House students study and practice as part of a working Therapy Yoga studio and Zen Shiatsu clinic.

Through these in house mentoring style programs you will receive invaluable skills necessary to become a successful professional health care

What is Japanese Therapy Yoga?                                                                 

Japanese Therapy Yoga uses the body’s natural energy systems or meridians to help bring balance to the body and mind.  Taking its origins from other Japanese yoga’s such as Oki, Ki and Ryoho, our yoga has been enriched with Traditional Chinese Medicine and other oriental therapies to become a complete and accredited form of therapeutic yoga.  Yet our yoga is surprisingly easy going yet allows you to teach at an individual level within a class room setting.   Your clients will then be able to enjoy yoga at their own level to bring appropriate focus on self-healing, body and mind balance and true health.

What sets our yoga teacher training apart?

The first thing we ask of you is to make yourself well – this is not a gauge on how fit you are, we are talking about how well and balanced you are.  Once you can identify your own health you will better understand others.

Then you will study our extensive diagnostic based teaching style techniques that will allow you to work with a wide range of clients in all specialty areas such as injury recovery, back and neck problems, digestive issues, conception and fertility, natal.  All our anatomy and physiology courses are based on the asanas, which brings relevance to the study, not just rote learning techniques or set routines.  It is with this understanding of the human
body you will become more than just a yoga teacher; you will be able to help people as a Yoga Therapist.

Our courses are rich with insights into Yoga, Eastern Medical Philosophies and Zen Shiatsu massage.  The Yoga House has further developed the therapeutic aspect of other Japanese yoga and helped develop the careers of many yoga teachers through apprenticeship style programs and diploma
courses.

The Yoga House takes you beyond teaching generalised yoga classes. Our extensive training in the asanas and study of qi meridian functions will enable you to design specific therapeutic classes that target real health issues. You will be able to deal with the individual requirements of people within a group setting.

If you’re serious about teaching yoga this double diploma course is enriched with Corrective Yoga Practices, TCM Therapies, Nutrition, Anatomy & Physiology, Zen Shiatsu and extensive Diagnostic Study. You will graduate from this unique 5 Element Therapy course as a professional Yoga & Zen Shiatsu Therapist.

Advanced Teacher Training Course

This series of five evening workshops will focus on the theory that makes your yoga class Therapy Yoga.  This unique method and how to apply this knowledge will enable you to design balanced Mind, Body and Spirit Therapy Yoga classes.  Bring positive strong changes to your clients with confidence and ease.
